Promoting a Safer Church

At  Newton Mearns New Church we see safeguarding as one of our highest priorities, and under the leadership of Sue Anderson we are currently fine-tuning our safeguarding policy & procedures. We will publish the completed policy document here soon.

Sue is experienced and knowledgeable in the field of safeguarding, and with the backing of her team, she will ensure that NMNC implements robust practices from day one onward. Our aim is to promote a culture of safety in our church focused on the welfare of children, young people and adults alike. We will incorporate measures to prevent abuse from occurring, and we will seek to protect those who are at risk of being abused, and to detect & respond properly to any instances of abuse.
